I'm looking for a campsite on or near the west coast of scotland - has anyone got any recommendations?

We only have a tent and are looking for a quiet site with basic amenities.

Thanks for looking !

Beeb

hello and welcome, give Oban Divers a try, a nice wee quiet site not too far from oban.

There are loads more but that one springs to mind first.

Would that be north west or south west Scotland you are looking for?

If you go to the site at Oban you can get the ferry over to Mull. The wildlife there is amazing.  Book a trip with Wildlife Expeditions, they will meet you at the ferry.  When we went we saw White Tailed Sea Eagles, Golden Eagle and otters plus lots of others.

Hi bkdavvy, we have spent alot of time around Oban and Mull never thought much of the divers site... unless you are a diver of course. Try the site at benderloch about 8 miles north of oban its right by the sea and very quiet  a five minute walk into the village and a 10 minute drive to oban. Good showers etc.. nothing else... nice flat sheltered field a lot cheaper than the divers site. Try it we think you will like it.
