We are thinking of spending some time at York and or Skegness area this year with our tent and wonder if anyone knows of any good sites they could recommend. Ideally we want EHU, a good site for kids (ours are 13 and 11), not too far away from the beaten path and somewhere with a bar or entertainment would be good as well. Any ideas?

Just posted this elsewhere, try Lakeside Park, North Somercotes, reviewed on my website- great place, lots to do without being tacky- great bar and club- you can drive to mablethorpe, cleethorpes and skeg vegas.

Try YCP York Caravan Park (http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=6567) - it's a new site that opened this year.  I would say that though as I'm the owner! - it is in the White Rose finals for 'Best Newcomer To Tourism' though, so must be doing something right!
It's 2 miles from York centre and half a mile from Monks Cross Shopping Park (water park, slides, shops etc)

Thanks for that Andrew, unfortunately it`s not suitable for us as we have a tent, not a caravan and you don`t seem to accept those.

Sorry about that Andrew, it`s just your website doesn`t give any prices for tents, it seems to be just prices for caravans.................unless I`m reading it wrong? Which could be possible!
