Hi,

Me and the husband are looking for a nice campsite down dorset/devon/somerset way for the end of june. We haven't got any kids so therefore like it nice and quiet, but would like a site with a bar on which serves food (mainly cos I can't cook!!).

We went to Lynton last year and loved it and have been to dawlish quite a few times but fancy a change now.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good sites which would be worth visiting. We're not in the C&CC.

bowdens crest in dorset is well recommended by many people on here. well worth a look i feel.

The C&C club site at Morton just outside Dorchester takes non-members and has a pub that serves meals right outside the site entrance. There is also a railway station within 50m of the entrance as well(and when on site you can hardly hear the trains!)that goes to Weymouth.

Highlands End is pretty good in Dorset with great views - you're about 200 ft from the sea - vertically. Camp site is on top of the cliffs.Can't comment about the quietness - but you'll be out of peak children summer season so it shouldn't be too bad.

Do a search in the site lsit on this site and you'll find plenty of reviews.

try blue anchour near minhead it is next to the beach has a s/pool but no bar or club. but there is a pub/resturaunt next door. i think it is a Hoborne leisure site.
