No camping until the end of the rugby season - thems the rules. With hubby coaching, son playing and me a committee member it takes over the winter months. And this sunday is the last day ...

We're off for our annual 'get the tent out and check the equipment' weekend break locally (within 10 miles of home) the following weekend - might be a bit quieter then .

Yeah, we're off to Leyburn. The food festival's on, so it should be interesting. It's our first time at Craken House site - any comments anyone? The reviews looked OK, and it was the only place we could find in the area with a vacancy.

We've already had 2 outings so far this year, so feeling quite smug! I have to say that, as a camper-turned-caravanner, it's a damn site easier to keep yourself entertained (and dry!) on a cold, wet day in a caravan! A good book, plentiful supplies of coffee, beer, wine....... who could ask for anything more?!!

We're off to the Culzean Castle CCC site in Ayrshire this weekend.  Our second trip of the season.  Can't wait!

We`ve just managed to get in at Elland hall farm, it`s only a few miles from us but wanted to go away just for 1 night, as we are going out for the day on Sunday and we need to be back.I`m so excited.

Why do all places insist on booking 3 nights, I bet they loose out in the end and have pitches empty.

Ange08 we go to Holmfirth all the time, you will have a great time, use the shop their prices are good. They also sell chilled lager, my husband says its as cheap as most supermarkets. If you like curry there`s a  good takeaway that delivers.Anything else you`d like to know just ask.Take some insect repelent if your camping near the pond or river, as sometimes ther`s midges at dusk.

Weather is gonna change tomorrow where we are - which would be right as we plan to go away tomorrow afternoon and come back Monday. It WILL rain - always does when I go away - but as long as it's not bitterly cold, I guess we will be ok....  We're going to Peak Gateway near Osmaston by the way in case any of you guys are going too.

Can i swop places with someone....anyone!!  I have major itchy feet and a huge crave for camping :o(  not going anywhere for another 2 weeks tho :o(  I'd even happily camp out in huge storms if it meant i was away somewhere lol

This is getting bad.... may even have to pitch up in the back garden for a few nights....if only my neighbours wasn't so noisy!!!

Was meant to be going to truckfest but it fell through!  typical

We're off to Snetterton for Pistonfest!

A weekend of 2CV racing and other car related antics, and I have it on god authority that there's gonna be a top notch band playing :)

That's a very good site (more like a CC than a C&CC), with plenty to do nearby so would be a good choice in bad weather. It didn't appear to have much of a tent area on it though.

Yes its mainly given over to hardstandings now, I wouldnt camp there anyway if I was taking the tent I would go to Hollins Farm at Boot.
