Had to come home couldnt get on a site anyone no ne good ones in the northwest of england

Hi Dodgy, Have a look on the 'Camp Site Search' at top of page. Type in the area & see what's available. Always check the 'Read Reviews' bit on any campsite you choose, cos you'll find true details of the site which people on this forum have written.

Fisherground at Eskdale is supposed to be good.We stayed at Parkfoot near Ullswater last year and enjoyed that.We also liked the Haven site near Flookburgh. It all depends what sort of site you are looking for but the camp site search facility is excellent.

Try the Sykeside Campsite at Brotherswater near Ullswater. They have two bars on site both serving excellent food. It is a small site mainly catering for camping, toilet facilities are good and the setting is superb. The website is www.sykeside.co.uk
