Thinking of visiting here later this month but just wanted to check what the traffic noise is like from the site? The site seems to be situated just inside the village on the A44 and, not knowing the area, was wondering if that part of the A44 is busy.

I experienced very little road noise but it was a freezing weekend and all windows etc were very firmly shut.

The road is below the level of the site itself so un;ess you pitch at the nearest point to it, I'm sure you'll be fine. The site is worth the inconvenience of a bit of traffic noise anyway in my opinion.

Traffic noise at Townsend? No way. The sheep make more noise.
