First place to look before posting is always the campsite listings section. There are 19 reviews from other UKCampsite.co.uk members for Sumners Pond which will probably help

Cheers

Not for us. Tried it 2 summers ago and can only hope it's improved. Yes, if you want to sit by a lake fishing all day, but young children will only take so much of that. The facilities block was new, but was also used by the day fisherman and as a laundry (washing hanging about everywhere). The campsite was weeds and wasn't cut for ages, albeit there were signs of hedging and marking, but no effort to actually grass-seed it.  To top it all, there was a big track running through the centre of the place which large lorries used, so was a permanant mud-bath.  Nice pubs in the area, family-friendly and good food, but can only hope it's "bedded" down a bit more. If you're not fishing-mad, look elsewhere.

Sorry to hear that Angie .....

we were there June 2003 when work was being down, but didn't find it a problem .......

went back last Aug B/Hols for 10 days .....

we had a meet on the rally field next to the small pond .......

Now over at the larger pond where you can camp, there is EHU ...... by the rally field and large lake is a portacabin for ladies and gents (4 loos and hand basins each) ...... both where always clean in all the time we were there .... I was most impressed at this, as these are used by all the fisherman and us on the rally field (20+ family units)

There is a small shop / cafe by the large lake ........

Simon and Becky are working hard to make Sumners a relax haven for campers and fisherman ... and now Eddie is on hand in the main site field as warden

Would got back anytime  [:star:] [:star:] [:star:] [:star:] [:star:]
