OK, If anybody can recommend a site I would be very grateful, Me and my wife are looking for a nice quiet site set in Forest/Woodland surroundings, we would like to go preferably southwards, (we are in York) We have looked at the New Forest sites on the club board but nothing really stands out. If anybody has any recommendations please bring them on. Safe Trips and Safe Camping to All.

I have to say i've never been to this site, but i've been browsing the listings here with a view to heading down to Sussex at some point, and this site looks like a whole load of fun... the reviews speak for themselves.
Hope it helps!

I have already booked a site in Forton, Alpine Grove Touring Park, http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=3568 have a look it looks wonderful. you may like the look of it yourself. I have had a look at the site you showed me but unforynately its not big enough to take a large pennine camper. but thank you very much for the chance to see the site, it is much appreciated.
Hi Higgins, how about a site called Burnbake which is near Studland/Wareham/Corfe Castle in Dorset? I am told it is really, really great providing you like basics but it is all woodland and you can walk to the lovely sandy beaches.
My mate goes there as many weekends as he can and has several young boys who love it. You can have fires there too.
If it's the New Forest you'd like I can recommend two sites which fit the bill. Sandy Balls at Godshill, Fordingbridge has its own extensive woodland as well as being right on the northern edge of the forest itself. Best stayed at outside of school holidays as it caters very much for families. However we've just spent a week there from May 1st and it was idyllic.
The other is Lytton Lawns between Lymington and New Milton. Close to the sea and on the southern edge of the New forest, this site is quite a bit less commercialised than Sandy Balls but offers a great location with good size pitches, some full service.
Hope this helps,
Vic
