Has anyone stayed at Gigrin Farm Rhayader ?. We are thinking of going in the next few weeks to see the red Kites. The reviews are very old and there is not much infomation about the camp site , we dont mind it being too basic as long as it is clean. We are in a tent by the way.Hoping for a early reply.

I have also looked at Gigrin for camping but not been there yet (not much help, I know! ), but they have a website www.gigrin.co.uk with loads of info on.
Hi, We went Gigrin last year, site is quite basic but toilet etc very clean..Our only moan would be that the grass hadn't been cut and was very, very long!! We had a great time, wonderful views from the site and friendly helpful owners..You must watch the Red Kites being fed from there, but it does get busy at feeding times so grab an early seat....Enjoy your stay

WE were at Grigrin Easter w/end as last post says grass not cut ,very ,very basic but the Kites made up for lack facilities, plenty of pubs, in fact every other door in village is pub door so I,m sure you will enjoy your stay Doolz
Ive just returned yesterday from Gigrin. Weve had a smashing time, although the begining of the week was wet windy and Brrrrrrr Cold!! but as the week progressed the weather improved and was much warmer.
The site is very basic, the grass is still long, the toilets get a little mucky but believe me it's worth going to see those Kites!!
It's also only minutes away from the Elan Valley and you can take a very slow drive along a winding road through the valley and take in the fabulous scenery. The road to Aberystwyth is worth the journey too, from the Elan Valley.
