Hi all,

Been hunting/telephoning around and can't seem to find any campsites in Blackpool(or surrounding area - anywhere between Blackpool and Manchester I suppose (stop over after the world cup game) that are willing to accept 4 blokes in a group. Presumably this is due to the high number of stag weekends etc... that take place in Blackpool... as for Manchester area - no idea of where to start!

If anyone knows of a site (1/2 night stopover), please let me know - I'd appreciate it.

Well, if anyone else hits the same problem in the future, these sites in Blackpool don't take 'single sex' party:

Windy Harbour, Mariclough Hampsfield, Knepps Park (well, only if all members of the party are over the age of 25)

Have you tried Martin mere?

Very close to Blackpool, think it may be a haven site now but they often do cheap pitches. There's a C&CC site at Clitheroe but not sure if they take groups

Try Hampton Road, It's within walking distance of the Golden Mile.

The info is in the campsite search.

Worth a try due to location.

In the end we're going to 'turn up' at some basic sites in the Peak District and head from there. Hampton Road don't have any camping pitches and other sites just didn't want to know.
