We stayed on the flamingland campsite if you can afford it,it is well worth the money. My lads had a great time on the park and it opens an hour early and shuts an hour later for all the campers on site. There is plenty of entertainment on the evenongs too,we loved it.

------------- Hey, 5 beers has just as many calories as a burger, screw dinner!
Sounds like my two with love it - thanks. Castle Howard sounds like it might be worth a trip too. We hope to go to Scarborough and Whitby aswell. I'm really looking forward to going, but August still seems such along way away!
hi there, thinking about going to flamingo land holiday park next bank holiday weekend. does anybody know how much the pitches are for a caravan?.. Is there a special deal for say 2 nights stay and 2 days entry to the theme park.. i've tried calling them but there is nobody answering... thanks
We went camping to Flamingoland at Easter and paid £240 for 4 nights with EHU and this included the passes. It might sound a bit pricey but it was well worth it. We've been a couple of times in the last year and the kids love
We have found it great for camping the field fills up quickly at BH weekends with tents, caravans and motorhomes. It was lovely at Easter it was good weather, people were having BBQs at night time, it was too noisey either. We'll definitely be back again this year.
thanks netty n pete... i looked at the website but couldn't see the prices first time round.. Low and behold i've just looked again and it's there.. i think i had too much newcastle brown ale last night.. thanks again
Thanks missElaineous, that's the one! I think we'll be staying there too so we have more spending money . I do fancy Flamingo Land itself aswell, we might go there one day when the finances are looking up to it!

Hi we stayed at Ashfield purely cos it was close to Flamingo Land which is brill, if you read the reviews on Ashfield most are spot on especially the ones mentioning the miserable owner, theres a pub right on the corner .. never tried it tho, there a site called the Black Bull which is quite close also Carr House in Pickering I'v never stayed at any but we had a look around Carr House(Vale of Pickering ) and it looked lovely, had a word with the owners and they were nice and freindly, Hope this helps Rosie
We've been off season and at the start of the school holidays. They were like 2 different places.
We loved it the first time, but the second we couldn't wait to get away! Kids running around at 1 AM pulling out the other EHU's, lots of very drunk rowdy/violent adults, toilets always got trashed by kids by lunchtime. It was as bad as Haven.
Def won't be going back anytime soon.
