Hi

Was a addictive camper before settling down, but used to like sites in the middle of no where, needing nothing more than a good beer in walking distance.

But have not been camping since marriage and kids (7 and 2).  Finally talked hubby round to give it a go and we have just bought a vango aspen 700 (to grow into!!)

But need help to find a good site - only have one chance to prove to him camping is great - first impressions and all that.

Fancy Dales, Peaks, Lakes or Northumbria. With:

  • family friendly pub on site or close by.
  • play area or football field.
  • Local attractation (just in case it rains).
  • Good views a bonus.

Any help??

Thanks

So you want your husband converted about how wonderful all things camping are -right?

No probs....just send 'im along to me......I'll convince him.........

But in the meantime ya might wanna take a squiz at the

23 and click on reviews where ya'll find l-o-a-d-s well rounded reviews on many sites. That should set you on the road to canvas happiness..

Betcha that it's gonna be a case of once bitten..........he'll l-o-v-e it. Providing the weather's decent, coz that can be a real turner offer! Found that out when me and my son managed to finally persuade my hubby to join us for a spot of coarse fishing, (only being a sea fisherman himself while son and I do both), and wouldn't ya know it, piddled down all day.Even though we were all as snug as a bug in a rug beneath our fishing shelter and h-u-g-e fishing brollies, hubby instantly decided he did not like it and never would coz of the bank being so muddy. One thing with sea fishing from a beach or harbour wall is that no matter how wet it is, you're not standing in mud!

Not being the sort to just give up on him, son and I persuaded him to give it a go, one more time.............bl**dy piddled down AGAIN! Never got him back since.

So, if I were you, I'd check the long range weather forecast before booking up!

Try http://www.accuweather.com/adcbin/ukie/index.asp?

This can give you a forecast fifteen days in advance.

Good luck

Thanks everyone.

Warren looks great but fully booked.

Thinking about Callow Top in Peaks - reviews look good and they have space.
