Hi everyone,
I have been trying to get away for a while now since my first camping trip - The Horseshoe walk at Snowdon - great first time major walk and camping trip - but i completed it and feel very good about it considering i am not too good with extreme heights!!!
But to the point, i still do not own a tent and gear yet and would like to take my ten year old son away in the summer holidays. He has never been camping and i am lucky enough to have a friend willing to lend me their tent and gear. What i am loking to the knowledgeable for is advice on a camping site that will be suitable for us 'newbie's' which is not too far from home, limit is probably North Norfolk, with good amenities. I live in Colchester, North Essex. I would like him to enjoy his first trip under canvas hoping to have some good weather. We both have bikes and love cycling and nature and i am introducing him to the country walking. I have seen the website of Kelling Heath at Weybourne which appears to have a lot going on there at a cost of £25 per night.
Any advice would be greatly received.
Happy camping!!
Mike
