Wow, just found that we have a child free weekend in 2 weeks and have decided that we may throw all the tent stuff in the car and head of for a peaceful break close to home. Is an adult only site the way to go. Not been to one before just want a nice relaxing break.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Not been to one - but if you have a child free weekend go for it. I know I would. Much as I love my kids and am quite happy to base things around them, there is something special about doing something or going somewhere that is child free, when you have some child free time.
I have been to adult only sites as my children are grown up. The sites are always quiet and relaxing. I remember the first weekend all to ourselves after 13 years of looking after our kids.......... It was so lovely..........
Don't feel strange, thats what the adults only sites are mainly about.Just usually couples on their own chilling out. Some are like me and my hubby , mid forties , kids grown and flown the nest and others are young couples just looking for peace and quiet. Try it, different from the family sites but usually just couples having a quiet drink and a chat enjoying each others company. One of the benefits is you can sleep late cos there's no kiddies up with the birds.............wendy
Definitely go for it - adult only sites are great. The nearest one I have visited to you is The Old Oaks in Glastonbury, but I appreciate that's proably a bit far. I believe Two Mills in Norfolk is also nice and the reviews are very good.

Have just booked at Old Oaks for August. Can't wait. I hope it is as good as the reviews say.
Oh yes - most definitely - it is by far and away the best site I have ever been too. Its only fault it that it spoils you for going anywhere else - as other sites always get compared to The Old Oaks and so far none I've been to have even come close to equalling its standards.!! I'm sure you'll have a brilliant time.

Wonderful. Only booked last night. Just hope the weather is like this. Do you know what the fishing is like please? Keep Hubby happy. Thanks.
Unfortunately no - neither my OH or me are anglers!! We were there last weekend and had glorious weather, but we have been there in the rain as well and were equally impressed with the site.
If you want a child free time go to an adult only site and we never feel funny just pitching the tent for us.
Go for it.
