Hi there, have any off you folks got a recommended campsite in derbyshire for this coming weekend, were tenting it with our 2 daughters (10 & 13). In our last post someone recommended Derbyshire instead of yorkshire so if we can find somewhere we''ll be off there on Friday evening.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Rivendale near Asdhbourne is a good site, it is right by the Tissington trail so brilliant for cycling and the facilities are good, read the reviews it's on the camp site search. There is also Callow top. There are lots in the camp site search.
Upper Booth in the Dark Peak is pretty good, right near Kinder Scout, they serve bacon butties etc from the house and you can have bbq's it's close to Castleton (10 min drive down Winnat's Pass) where there are three different Caves you can visit, little shops, tea rooms, excellent pub (the Bull) etc. The campsite has a 'in the middle of nowhere' feel to it but it's actually very close to Edale.
For somewhere really in the middle of nowhere is the Eric Byne campsite near Baslow - very basic amenities but lovely setting under Birchen Edge. very close to Chatsworth and Bakewell. No reviews on here but I could give you the link to it's location if you want.
There's also a campsite overlooking Lathkill Dale near Over Haddon, Bakewell. The dale is quite child friendly with lots of information plaques etc, this is a short drive or pleasant walk to Bakewell. It's also close to Youlgreave which is a nice village.
