We're spending 2 weeks in Dorset and Devon in August and, as we will be on a rather large commercial site for one of those weeks, are looking for somewhere peaceful to stop for a few nights on the way home to Kent.
We are thinking of the New Forest.
Anyone have any recommendation?

Alot will depend on wether you have your own loo or not when camping in the New Forest.

If you have you own loo  i would recommend Longbeech. Its in a lovely spot.Setthorns is good too, but as it is fairly big it can get busy.( open all year)

If you need all the facilities it wont be easy to find somewhere" peaceful" in August! You may find a quiet corner on Holmsley campsite which has all mod cons.

I live nearby, so any questions, do ask. All these sites are Forestry commision by the way adn can easily be found if you do a search.

regards
