I was going to recommend North Morte farm but if you want entertainment then its not for you...............look at the Woolacombe bay sites they seem very populer for families.
with regards to south devon.......Peppermint Palm has swimming pools and a club house.
We went to Cofton country holidays in Dawlish last year and found it very nice, its got a nice outside pool, bar, take away, restaurant, shop, fishing lake.

We did go to Ladys Mile last year when we were camping and i must admit i felt sorry for the caravanners who looked like they were squashed in like sardines.
I dont need too much entertainment just a pool on site for the kids
We go to a site in north devon called big meadow most years it's by combe martin..there is no swimming pool though nearest one is in ifracombe about 4 miles away, but the site has lovely sea views has it's own private beach (there is a lot of steps to get down to it,but the kids will love it!!) the owner Dave provides free tractor rides and tobbogon rides for the kids each night, there is a play island with tyre swings, tarzan ropes for kids and adults alike with a stream running around it which you can have a dingy in, kids cabin with pool table, kids machines and sky tv the site is enclosed well so that you know where the kids are at all times ...there is at pub 3 minutes walk which do home cooked meals and are very good value for money...we went for 7 nights at whitsun and it cost us £77.00 including ehu and before we left booked up for august bank holiday as does get busy but you are not cramped together and has good distance between each pitch...just go on camp site link and put in big meadow and take a look at there web site...you won't be dissapointed and have a good holiday
