No, the one we used over the last bank holiday would have been a nightmare for you.  Unless you have floats underfoot and some way of getting up the dodgy steps to the toilet block!

Should think the best way would to be search for a site you fancy, then give them a ring. If they're less than helpful on the phone, how can you expect anything more when you get there?

Should have taken my own advice though, no reply to conformation emails....or snail mail letter, and poor service once there! Ho hum.  Good luck!

Yes they should.

Under The DDA Act it is ILLEGAL for a business to discriminate against anyone with a disability.  The theme is access for ALL.

However the way the legislation is set up it is up to the disabled person who feels they have been discriminated against to take legal action against the business.

Hi I`m disabled and haven`t had any  problems yet with disabled facilities. Some sites give you a key. on others you can use your Rada key Ofcourse some sites have super toilets.showers even bathrooms these are usually the larger sites like Southlands on I.O.W.Even the smaller sites have good Toilets with inclusive shower wash handbasins etc We stay on a five site regularly, which is a Fishing site open to the Public, who fish there but any disabled angler can borrow the key.and facilties are basic but clean. I would hesitate to book a site that couldnt or wouldn`t reply about their disabled or any other facilities.     Naturally there are different degrees of disability but most site facilities would take a wheelchair.Even in Southern Ireland last year, over  a six weeks  holiday, every site we stayed at had excellant disabled facilties in spite of negative posts on here and another caravan chat line

It is right that the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 means that people with disabilities should be better cateed for, as businesses who provide services are now obliged to make  "reasonable adjustments" to meet the needs of disabled customers. We know what it can be like finding somewhere suitable, as we take my niece camping and she has disabilities.

Here in Derbyshire I can recommend Lickpenny site near Matlock, and Shardaroba just one the Notts/Derbys border, if you ever want to come this way. They both have well thought out facilities.
