Hi all

read some good reviews on trevornicks site down in cornwall and have been lucky enough to grab a cancelation - ive read some good reviews but was wandering has anybody who has visited there any info on the fishing lakes - im told there are carp to 25lb ???

The fishing is quite good at Trevornick.

I do not fish myself, but last year down there we were pitched up next to this block who had a seasonal pitch there, just for the fishing.  There are a few ponds, and the guy who runs the fishing, imaginatively named "Pondlife" tries to keep the beginers on one pond away from the experienced or serious anglers.  Bait and tackle shop on site.

Fishing at Trevornik isnt great - the lake is small and be carefull you dont hit by low flying golf balls!!

Biggest i saw caught was 3lb, didnt catch any worth mentioning myself.

The best places for fishing in Cornwall is Perran Springs and Whiteacres, although whiteacres is getting  a bit expensive these days.

The understatement of the year. 

I used to do alot of carping and go to trevornick regular the biggest i saw was around 10lbs.

I do take a small float road and odds & ends and just have a few hrs after the small stuff.There is a weekly contest for both adults and juniors.

Trevorick is a nice site, but if your going there just for fishing you would be dissapointed, as it not a "true" fishing lake, and the fish are not in good condition.

As above, whiteacres has gone silly for pricing, this is all due to them getting mentioned on sky sports tight lines programmes who has a interest in this site!!

Again as before, for value for money and great fishing, carp over 20lbs with 3 good lakes, try perran springs. I went last near from recommendation and going again this year.
