Hi - new here!

Can anyone recommend a site within or not too far a drive from Yorkshire, please. We do not like very commercial sites, but since recent health problems prevent me from walking far and being as active as I'd like What I'm after is a site that is relaxing, yet offers some activities for children, e.g. pool, playground, possibly table tennis etc.Good loos and showers, but not so bothered about laundry / big shop /evening entertainments etc. I love the seaside but would consider inland sites too.The last camping we did was in France, but I've not found anywhere like theirs in UK!

Looking forward to hearing from you.

WELCOME!!

My mate loves it at Burton Constable, not sure if I spelt it right, never been there myself but she swears by it, I'll try and find some more info for you.

If you take a squiz on here 23 you should be able to find something? Just double click on that link and you'll be off.

You also get ukcs members reviewing them too, and tbph, (to be perfectly honestthought I'd best explain with you being a newby), we're usually very honest witih our reviews, better than most campsite's own brochures.

And because you are new.................. to the best site on the net in the w-h-o-l-e wide world

But to get the real lo down on what goes on here...you'd better take a look on the thread entitled, 'New Arrivals...Welcome' coz BOY  are you gonna need that advice now.........addicted you will be mate. Now you've wandered in here.....no chance to log off.

And if you see anything like this going on in car parks or drives

they're more than likely to be other ukcs members

See ya at the next ukcs-anon meeting then? Next one coming soon to a pc near you.

My name's hippy chick and I am a ukcs addict......yipeeeee

Hi Forgetmenot....

You could try Sand-Le-Mere, East yorkshire coast. Its quiet, right next to beach, very easy stroll. Its got things for the kids to do & an outdoor pool. Theres also a fishing lake....Its a very laid back kind of place, quite relaxing. The touring field is not marked out so you pitch where you want...providing you leave a proper distance between you & your neighbour.

Check it out on the campsite search....

Hi

You could try Flower of May at Scarborough, has all the facilities that you are after and not after but it is definately not too commercialised. The same applies to Skipsea Sands at Skipsea.

cheers

steve
