looking for a good campsite in south wales, It must have a kids park, shower block at the mimimum, I have two children (6+9). I am from swansea so looking for somewhere within 50 miles for my first venture. Any reccomendations.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Like you from Swansea, have visited Royston Caravan Park, just outside Tenby (New Hedges), good clean site, large park area for kids, and path down to sandy cove ( 10 mins walk). You can also walk into Tenby along the cliff path. Bank Farm at Horton has a good pool, plus clubhouse, just a 5 minutewalk to the beach.
Pencelli (Brecon) was my first camping trip....nothing there could put you off.Brilliant showers and toilets. They have laundrette and indoor washing up facilities too. I usually look for campsites voted for best loo of they year. I hate dirty showers and toilets. They have a childrens park too.
Sorry have to say, we hated Kiln Park. It is in a lovely spot though. It is a very big park and you can't let the children go anywhere by themselves. It is very commercialised although I appreciate some people like this but we prefer something less formal.
------------- Are you sure you've read the instructions?
I wouldn't go to Kiln park again either...which is a shame cos it could be very nice...but theres so much nighttime noise and gangs of teens hanging round causing trouble,,, so deffo wont go there again...
theres loads down gower way...
------------- The futures bright the futures podding!!!!
There's a gem of a site just outside Newcastle Emlyn, although that's more West Wales I suppose but it's definately worth mentioning. It's hidden away in the hills and is run by a lovely family. Clean, friendly, lovely scenery and very reasonably priced.
