Hello Have you tried Riverside in Bentham?
Its clean, has beautiful wash rooms and other facilites. The river Wenning runs through it which is great if you have children. Its a great base for walking. There isnt a club or shop (which I prefer) but the town is a 5mins walk and there you can get most things, including bar meals/resturants.
