Hello, My brother has just txt to say he is going away with his boys, and he brought back memories of our childhood.
Gibralter Farm at Silverdale Nr Carnforth, Junc 35 off the M6, turn right at lights in Carforth follow signs for Silverdale.
What a fantastic site for you, woods, rocks, sea, beach and caves, you really must try it, very basic site, toilets and showers stc, a mile from the village, pub, shops etc, its a farm site, so you may get the odd sheep.
Plenty of good walks, up to Jenny browns point, which is a giant stone seat with great views over the bay toward Morecambe, also walks through to woods up to the village, straight ahead out of site, Public Footpath just up the road, although the road to the village is a left turn. oh by the way, when we used to go camp fires where allowed, give it a go.
Shirley
