Hi,

Can anyone help please. 2 couples going camping on Sat night. Putting up new tent ( sunncamp vario 6 ) so need

1. Place in inland  Yorkshire (york/masham) as we live in Leeds and only going for one night after work on Saturday.

2. Place with plenty of room cos we have got new big daft tent to put up ( 5m x 4m ) and will probably be the last to arrive there ...5-6 pm.

3. Place with space between tents cos ..well.... we like a drink and a BBQ and although we try very hard to be quiet thats a different story after a gallon of stella.

Dont want a big commercial site cos ( does this make sense) of all the drunken noisy idiots found there.

Dont want a very quiet site where one can hear a mouse trump cos we wouldnt feel welcome there.

A pub on site or nearby would be a bonus. No dogs or kids with us.

Oh, and less than a fiver a night ( joke)

Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.

Mark

I don't know if it would be too far for you, but Wolds Way near Malton is fab.  It's a lovely, well maintained site, the owners are really friendly, and the pitches are enormous.  There's no bar on site, but the nearest village is only a couple of miles away.  I would say it's well worth going the extra few miles.

Scarborough to far?  Cayton Village have a huge field out the back and you'd be really unlucky not to find space for an aircraft hanger !

I dont wanna be a party pooper and tell them to be quiet and get to bed , afterall it is saturday night and there to celebrate wifes birthday but we wouldnt enjoy ourselves ( well at least I wouldn`t) if I thought we were disturbing others..

Cheers for all the help .

Hi,

we went to the Black Swan campsite in Masham last year.

There was plenty of room for our big tent, Outwell Hartford XL, and 2 brothers in laws tents.

We stayed up til the early our of the morning 2.30 am, 2 nights running without any complaints, just remember not to shout too much, and you should have a good night.

Gill
