Not sure if Mortehoe Shellfish is what I think it is, but in Mortehoe (when I was last there) there was a fisherman's house with a very large freezer who sold locally caught fish - I presume there was probably fresh fish too (can't remember).
But on the two campsites I have stayed on locally - North Morte Farm and Watermouth Cove (nr Ilfracombe), an unsual ice-cream van turned up on a set night of the week and sold frozen fish - already prepared and wrapped in foil ready for the BBQ - all you had to do was choose which fish and whether you wanted a herby one or lemon etc. As far as I know the ice-cream van was connected with the same fisherman's house.
All the above could be wrong... well bits are definately correct... I'm just not entirely sure on the details (bad memory).
