Do a google search for Chesil Vista Holiday Site - that is the old Blue Waters site although it's been extended and updated a lot since my last visit in 1979/80
Thank you so much, I can imagine it has changed somewhat in the last 40+ years but I fancy a trip and I’m hoping some memories will come flooding back 😆
Yes I have good memories of going there, the child play area, the club where we used to go each night and watching the helecopters take off and land from Portland. Lovely shop up the hill that sold brilliant farmhouse butter....I'm drooling at the thought!!!!
Just read your post my family was there around late 70’s we had a German Shepard can’t find any history on the place just remember summer set blue waters and l won the 8 ball pool competition against a bloke called (Kerry) I’m 53 now

Looking on Google Maps, if you go down the main road that ends up at Portland. You come to a small roundabout that never used to be there in the 70's and 80's and on the right is a site. That is where Blue Waters used to be.
It's now called Chesil Vista Holiday Park and appears on the Hoseasons website

My step daughter stayed there a couple of years ago with her partner and young children and absolutely loved it. We spotted it while staying near Weymouth last year and thought it was a great location if statics are your thing.

Replying to a 2021 post, as the recent photos may have sparked further interest.
Site might have changed name from Chesil Vista to Chesil Beach Holiday Park. Hoseasons plus www.watersideholidaygroup.co.uk
