Hi

We're hoping to go camping in/on/around Exmoor for Aug bank hols.  We'd like to do some walking around Watersmeet, Lynton and Lyndmouth.  We would like a quiet family type site.

Normally we stay in "Best of British" camp sites but looking at their website, it seems that there are no registered sites near where we want to aim.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

We love exmoor and usually stay at the adult only sites but we have been to Channel View Caravan Park and that was on an August bank holiday and it was bearable for us ( we`re used to total tranquility on the adult sites). We chose this site as we wanted to be within walking distance of Lynmouth (my favourite place on this earth!). It`s in a fantastic location and you can walk down into Lynmouth and not worry about finding somewhere to park especially on a bank holiday, although we found Lynton and Lynmouth very peaceful even then. It`s a good old walk back up to the campsite, well worth it though.

Read all the reviews for Channel View on the campsite search I`d say they were very accurate, We`d certainly go back just for its wonderful location
