Has anyone been to this Park Resort site this year, have read previous posts and they are not good. Just wondered if anyone has been this year and can tell me what site is like.

Is that the one near newbiggin?  if it is, I'd go somewhere else - no reflection on the site just the area.

Hi all.

you are right about the area it is bad but saying that you don,t have to spend time in Newbiggin you can always drive down to Whitley Bay or Tynemouth or go up the coast to Amble or Seahouses.

Getting a little confused!  The only Sandy Bay i know is the one in Devon.

If this is thew one your talking about, then this is my view on the place:

I stayed their in a tent back in 1999, the touring pitches are at the top of a fairly steep hill, but not far from the facilites.  Back then it had the club and take away and pool.  I then went back in 2004 but stayed in a static caravan as part of a sun holiday.  They spent in the region of £6 million upgrading everything and it was great.  They have a spa, lots more potions for takeaways lots of different clubs/games room etc.

There is a beach, but again a bit of a trek down a fairly steep hill!

Ideal base for seeing East Devon/West Dorset, Torquay etc....
