Not got anything booked so will be last minute. Driving from Midlands with 3 kids 2yrs -10yrs. Love being as close to beach as possible. Playground would be great, pub nearby. Not keen on big entertainment sites. All suggestions greatefully received

We are taking our kids (13 and 8) to Cayton Village near Scarborough. Site has playarea, pub just across road from side-gate as is chippy. Site itself is nice and quiet, no club and policy of no noise (1ithin reason) after 11pm. Beach is about 3/4 away but walk is along a fairly quiet road but you can park nearer to it FREE. (You do have to go down a steep path to beach but our kids love "a race". Not sure how long it would take you as looks like you may be on "wrong side" of Birmingham

And if you're travelling at the weekend in August the single-lane road from York to Scarborough is a nightmare. Plan for an hour and a half just for that stretch of road.
We're going to filey in the early hours of sat morning, very nearly did the cayton village one, wish we had now because I might have finally met someone who uses the site!!
------------- Gone are the 'sleeping on the floor' times, I love my TT.
Hi, Try here easy to get to and vitually on the beach plus local town is within walking distance on the sea front with loads to do for the kids...and it's all free...
You could try this grouse-hill its a lovely place and the food at the flask inn is spot on. There is a cafe and a play area for the kids and the views and walks over the moors are lovely. Sorry its about 4 miles from whitby and the owners of the site are the friendliest i have ever met.
Important: If you are posting details of a site, please ensure you link to their UKCampsite.co.uk listing, not direct to their website, to enable reviews etc to be read!
