I need to know what motorway service stations accept caravans to stop overnight.  We are travelling down to Newquay, Cornwall 25th August.  We want to stop over somewhere around Bristol or a bit further.  Cut the driving time down a bit for the children.  We are aiming to leave Shropshire at 8pm.

If anyone can help with a contact number or any other help I would be grateful.  Also how much do they normally charge.

Thank you.

Hope you have better luck than we did, we went to Cornwall last year, and Devon this year, and both times all places were full up on the service stations.  Most of the service stations on the M5 have overnight facilities.  We couldn't even manage to pull in for a stop as it was so busy.  Ended up in a layby 5 miles from the camp site. You may be better off trying to find a small site just off the moterway and booking for one night.

Thanks Shirley

That I will bear in mind, might start looking now for a smaller campsite and leaving a little earlier.

Cheers

Sedgmoor was full to bursting point, couldn't even park to stop for a rest and a drink. We tried every service station from Worcester onwards, and they were all the same.  Next time we do that trip we will set off at about 3 or 4  in the morning and just plod on until we get there.

Avoid Sedgmoor if you can - terrible services...Taunton Deane is better a bit further down, have heard so many horror stories about Sedgmoor!
