Hi

Can anyone recomend campsites in Wales, the areas we are looking for are Dolgellau, Porthmadog and Machynlleth.  The recomendations on the lists of campistes in these areas are a little out of date.

We just want somewhere clean and friendly, 3 of our group will be mountain biking most days so I need to entertain a 9 year old, as long as she meets new friends she would be ok - so child friendly too please.

Greenacres porthmadog is a great site for kids and adjoins a fantastic beach.  Its a haven site but one of the best haven sites we have been to.

A bit further south near Brecon is Pencelli Castle, went last weekend.  Very busy (full) but clean, nice facilities & good atmosphere.  Good walking along the canal to nearby villages.

 look at the camp site search above for hendr/ mynach at barmouth,its a good site and not far from the best beach in wales. and 10 mins walk along the prom to town..royell.

I used to live there in Barmouth and thinking of taking the Monty6 and family there for a weekend
