Has anyone been to this site recently? Are the tent pitches hard standing or grass? What are the facilities like? Any information would be welcome.

facilities very good and clean, good showers, nice pub on site and shop and campers kitchen.

I think the tent pitches are all grass, tho i would give em a ring just to make sure.

Tried to book at Limefitt Park recently, but was told that dogs not allowed because the site is surrounded by fields. No mention of this in their listings.

Come to think of it, how many sites are not surrounded by fields?  When you phone you do not get the site, but the switchboard of the leisure company that owns it.

Our places we rented out were booked at least a year in advance for all school holidays in the Lakes... you have to be really careful!
