Hi,

  i am looking for a campsite that takes tents, and is disabled friendly on the borders of scotland. with childrens play area that is not made of wood as there too big to hold onto for a child that can only use one hand. A pool would be great but not a must.

Wanted to get rid of the blue face! Sorry can't help you on a specific site in Scottish Borders, but do a campsite search and ring the ones you fancy to ask them about the facilties.  My son  (age 9) is disabled and a wheelchair user, but likes to try the playareas if he can  and I always check with a site first to see what is on offer. We tend to stick with the Caravan Club as they always have good access and facilities for the disabled. I guess the Camping and Caravan Club will be the same and they allow tents.

  Have you looked at www.caravanable.co.uk/index htm.? It`s got information on beaches, sites etc collected by Angie Gardner who has a disabled son it covers most counties  plus areas of Scotland Wales etc and have either been tried by herself or recommended by other parents etc.Hope you find what your looking for!!!!
