I am a member of the Yorkshire Trikers club (but we are from all over, not exclusive to Yorkshire) and we are looking for somewhere to get together for a long weekend. As we are a trike club, we have some members who have mobility problems and one member who requires carer support. Has anyone ever been camping or stayed in chalet type accomodation that can cater for all our members needs. We don't want those who require more support to be segregated from those who want to camp. It's a tall ask but as well as NABD, we thought this site would be one to have info if anyone could help. We would like to stay in the Yorkshire area so the majority can get together but we will consider travelling further afield if the accomodation suits better.
Cheers everyone.

Hi Martin – Most of the Camping and Caravan Club sites have facilities for the disabled.  Many have family rooms too, which could be useful for those requiring carer support.  You might want to visit their website at http://www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk

Some C&CC sites have gravel roads which might impede wheelchair users.  A phone call to the Site Manager could answer any other questions you have.
