Hi guys, not been on here in a while.

We're looking to go camping in or very near the Cotswolds during August sometime, any recommend any decent camp sites around the area?

Erm more peaceful and quiet really, we do have a small poodle dog that may or may not be coming depending on what we find etc.

I don't know the Cotswolds well enough to say a particualr part would be preferable over another, any help or recommendations really appreciated!

We can definately recomend this site, Cotswold View Caravan and Camp site.  We are off here again 19 - 27 August and this will be our 3rd year running.  Its a great site, Lots of walks, dogs have always been welcome (on a lead) whenever we have been there.

Excellent base camp for exploring the Cotswolds.  We have recomended this site to many, if it were a bit closer to us in Notts we would use it more often.

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=4722 The C&CC club site at Winchcome, slap bang in the middle of all that is lovely in the Cotswolds, handy for places to visit on your doorstep and handy for day trips further afield. Nice peaceful quiet site, two dog walks one which is a huge field with lovely views of the hills. I've just come back from a few days there with my small children and my review hasn't gone in yet.

Dogs are welcome they have a seperate field next to a dog walk area for people with pets. Well looked after site with a mixture of families and couples.

Thanks for that guys, need to check them out and arrange a date this month with work etc, had so much time off lately for one reason or another that this will be a spur of the moment thing.
