My back garden's quite a nice sight when the grass has been cut and isn't all brown
Or there is of course the one already on Mersea Island, (Waldegraves on East Mersea), that's s'posed to be quite nice or so the leaflets we keep getting through our door say.
Clacton has loads scattered about the place too but we've never stayed at any.
Many years ago when my family were still going through their 'statics' phase, (we've had tents..to statics...to tourers...to trailer tents and back again all my life), we had one sited on a fairly pleasant site at St. Osyth but blowed if I can remember what it was called. Remember it had a clubhouse though. We'd also had a static on a very quiet site but right on the river Blackwater on West Mersea too but that may no longer be there as it was a private site owned by a chap called Simmonds and not sure if he'd passed it on to his son or not. That may well now be another housing estate
Have you tried clicking on and typing in Essex? You can also read unbiased, (and sometimes quite scathing), members reviews about them on there too.
Remember, recently seeing quite a few around the Southend/Rayleigh area too, but have no idea what they're like.
Happy hunting
