Would it be worthwhile having a thread to inform members of sites especially in the South West that accept mid week bookings in high season?

Are there not many places that do accept mid week bookings then? I'm gonna be looking for somewhere to stay two nights soon...

From what I can gather, in 'high' season bigger more popular sites want you to book for full weeks generally Sat to Sat. Some sites will allow Wed to Wed that is full weeks again. They do this as they know they can fill the sites and for them it is good bussiness sense. Early & late season ie out of school & bank holidays they usually allow bookings any time. I am not sure if this applies to CC sites as I have never felt the urge to join!

Pentewan have Wednesday - Wednesday pitches and advertise this on their website anyhoo. But their sister site Heligan Woods just up the road don't advertise it but they too will accept Wednesday-Wednesday ones. I know, coz I rang them a couple of weeks ago to find out for another ukcs member. Even asked me when I was looking for! Had to say that I was already booked on there for two weeks from the 12th but was enquiring for 'a friend' Well....not a fib is it? All buddies on here

Only 4 days to Heligan Woods and counting.....every bl**dy one of 'em
