I want to go camping with my husband at a woody place this weekend. We left it much too late to get in at Blackberry Wood and I can't seem to find any similar places reviewed.

I've heard of Hackmans farm, Plumpton and the Half Moon pub nearby. Has anyone been there?

We are only in a two man tent and want to build a fire to cook on and we don't have kids.

Thanks

Senlac Park is nicely wooded, but I don't think they allow fires.

Park Farm near Bodiam does have fires, but isn't quite as wooded.

Hope this helps, welcome to the group.

The ultimate is wilderness wood!

you book the "cabin" in the woods and can take up to 10 people but only one pitch and is more wild camping than tenting.

Brilliant!

I've contacted Wilderness Wood and Park Farm so we'll be at either one or maybe both! They look great.

We'll take pics and stick them up after.

Thanks alot Fudge and Simon!!!!
