Looking for a site for the last weekend in August please.  I am in Shropshire so somewhere within an hour and half would be good for myself, my 9 yr old and his dog.  Dont like the big busy sites and only require somewhere with showers and toilets although a small playground would be nice but not a necessity.

Forestry Commission site called Christchurch sounds ideal for you, got all above that you mentioned and is quite popular with children.  Stayed a few times and loved it!  Its down by Symonds Yat and Ross on Wye so not too far for you.

I always recomend this site, it is a bout an hour and a half from us in Notts so should be similar for yourselves.  Its a great little site great for kids, plenty of dog walks and we love it. Oh and we are there 19 - 27 August and I can't wait to get there and chill for a week.
