Non that I know of in Cheshire but Wyreside in the forest of Bowland is just up the M6 and has a large number of lakes. The Plassey in Wrexham has free fishing on its three ponds but the fishing was very poor during my visit last year. There is always Llyn y Gors at the other end of the A55 from you in Anglesey, hardly local but easy to get to and very good fishing.
