Hi Janbo
My children (all girls) are now 15, 13 and 8. We first visited the area when the two eldest were 4 and 2 and at various intervals since!
The site itself was great. We were on pitch 128 which was right next to the fishing lake. If you look on their website, they have a site map. The site is set out with some pitches divided by hedges (some only baby bushes), our bit had two caravans which I think must be there for the season and then us and another tent. Some of the little areas were just for one tent or caravan, lovely and private. As you enter the site, the part in front and to the left is more open. Our pitch was very big - we have a Diablo 900, not the smallest tent in the world and there was more than enough room for the tent and the car (Galaxy). The pitches are level too.
The fishing lake is lovely - the girls had a lovely time with their dad and caught a few tiddlers! One downside and it might be because we were so close to the water, was there were millions of tiny, itchy flies when it was very hot.
The showers are truly awesome - best I have ever used! If anything, the water is too hot! However, there is only the one large block and it was a bit of a hike. There was a toilet block nearby which was good for the last-one-before-bed but didn't have any hot water so not so good for a wash (tried it once and it took ages for me to feel my face again!!).
We would definitely stay there again - in fact are hoping to go again next year, if we can fit it in.
Deb
------------- Oooh look - it's trying to brighten up over there!
