There's no shortage of camp sites in Derbyshire, Rutland isn't far from you either or even Nottinghamshire.

What sort of facilities are you looking for?  If you want all singing and dancing you could be struggling for the BH unless you book quickly. Have you tried the camp site search at the top of the page?

If you are looking for an Adults Only site I can strongly recommend - Longnor Wood nr Buxton. Plenty to do in the area as well.

Got to agree with The Admiral....We went to Longnor Wood last weekend and it's a fantastic site. Very peaceful but with plenty for the 'adult' kids to do...Boules, badminton and a putting green!

If it's not adults only that you're looking for then why not try Stanmore Hall in Bridgnorth. Wonderfully clean site with excellent toilet/shower facilities. The wildlife around the lake is fun to watch and Bridgnorth is a lovely town.

Good luck in finding somewhere.

Hi kazzz welcome to the site.

I think you will find you will have a bit of a prob getting in anywhere at this late stage but  the best thing to do is as Redtuts ahs said look in the camp site search and ring round.

Derbyshire is a brilliant area but it all depends on what you want from a site and what you want to do. Have a look here it will give you a bit of knowledge about the areas.

Why not try and get on the Bubblecar Rally?  It's only down the road, near Lincoln, you will meet up with likeminded people who are only too willing to help out, if you have any difficulties.   You would be , more or less guaranteed to have a good time.  This will be our 3rd rally and we're now well and truly hooked.

Sorry about 1st post, pressed wrong key.

Quick note, Longnor Wood and Callow Top are fully booked so I'd grab a phone quick and ring round as the plots in Derby are going really quickly.

Callow Top only take 5 night bookings at this time of year anyway.

Try Carsington Fields, a nice quiet family run site with NEW toilet and Showers. 15 mins from Ashbourne in one direction and Matlock Bath in the other with Heights of Abraham, Gullivers Kingdom, etc...
