I want to stay at one of the Forest holidays sites, but they have a limit of 6 berth tents (ours is 7). I've been told I have to book 2 pitches.

I don't want to pay nearly £100 for 3 nights (2 adult + 2 children) for 2 pitches, but I know it will get busy (over August bank holiday), so I don't want to just chance it.

Has anyone been able to negotiate a larger tent into any of the forst holiday sites ?

I''ve read the review for Sandy balls etc and have submitted enquiries to that one among others.

Would prefer to be in New forest, for kids to see ponies etc.

Hi

Merley Court take large tents i think. Now run by Shorefields. Not exactly in the new forest but not far to drive. We have just returned after spending 10 days there. Good Luck...

We have just returned from 10 days at Holmsley wood (Forest Holidays -New Forest) with our Diablo 900 (9 berth). I admit I didn't mention the size when I booked, it didn't occur to me to - but also wasn't asked - we had no problems and only paid for 1 pitch.

It was really busy so finding a good spot took a bit of doing if you arrived after about 4pm - so arrive as early as you can. There were loads of really big tents.
