What about going 'up' country a bit. We are thinking of going to stratford upon avon the bank holiday weekend. The race course is not too bad a site.

Ive stayed there on occasion and its a nice walk into the town. Although it get busy in town its not too bad on the camp. There's also a camping and caravaning site at Winchcombe that looks really nice.

If anyone is still looking for this weeekend, Thorney Lakes have some availability. We've decided to stay home though, not just the weather, some other things have come up and it's easier to get it all sorted this weekend ahead of the bank holiday.

Haywood Farm Gorsley not far from Ross on Wye

 

We stayed recenty and it weas ideal quiet, no shop or pub on site, play are for kids and in easy reach of loads of places.
