why not enquire online, I have found some great sites in north wales on on this site & have sent them an email asking about avalability & they have been very helpfull.Good luck & have agreat holiday
Please mention the UKCampsite.co.uk when you book or enquire!
this site ia always fab and friendly and we've been there many a bank holiday . they just open another field if it gets busy so never feels overcrowded. short walk to nice pub with good food and 5 minute drive to beach.
Make sure you want to go for the full 3 days though, we had a problem as we only wanted to do two nights and no where would take us, we ended up justy chancing it and turning up but the campsite we went to they really were not happy about letting us stay two nights
hi i go to shell island and they will try get you on i never ring them but 1 time they turn away due too floods on parts off site but we were ok good luck
Friday is a bad day to just turn up as most peeps go away then, plus it's a bank holiday so everyone and their dog will be out. I'd try ringing and e-mailing as many as I can. And while you're on the phone or e-mail why not book for next year! better to be safe than sorry.

Hi all reading with interest about lack of availability for bank holiday without booking,we cant get away till saturday night does anyone think we might be able to get into a site just turning up (derbys /stafford) with the hope that someone who had booked for the friday hadnt turned up?
I've stopped searching....Everywhere i fancy from Wales to East coast is fully booked up..That'll teach me to book in advance won't it, usually we do but forgot all about this bank holiday....silly me.....
I can't understand why there are still places left at the Bubblecar Rally (25th August - 28th August 2006. Bubble Car Museum, Cranwell, Lincolnshire). More or less guaranteed to have a good timewhatever the weather.
Go to events/meets and have a look.
Cheers Paul
