Does anyone know of any campsites with availablity over the august bank holiday 25th, 26th & 27th.  Ideally somewhere in south east regoin or not too far further ie. Dorset,  wiltshire, somerset, bedford, northamptonshire, licolnshire etc.  All suggestion would be appreciated but ideally the more basic end of the market, not too big and bbq welcomes ideally! Probably 1 camper,  2-4 small tents.  Can reluctantly leave camper at home if tent on sites.

The world seams to have beaten us to it!

When I need a site at a busy time I literally send about 20-30 emails to all possible sites in the area I'm looking at - just use the camp site search - type in the area and loads should come up. By using the enquiry facility you only need enter your name and email address once and the text of the email is stored so you can literally fire off about 30 or 40 emails in a few minutes.

I usually get a response from about 75% of them - even if negative - and out of all of them you should get one or two with space!

Well I just got booked up TODAY for the Bank Holiday weekend at St. Leonards Farm in Dorset for a tent pitch. I know they've only got standard pitches left for Tents not sure about Campers etc. Give them a try - I got all the details off this site which is FANTASTIC by the way!!! Here's the link:   http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=1260 Hope you find something!

postern farm is very good in savernake forest, if you dont need hook ups you can usually just turn up but probably best to give them a ring, they have toilets now but no showers
