You can book if you want Electric Hook Up and they seem very nice on the phone and it has very good reviews, I would have been there last week but my son broke his leg so had to cancel
thanks- as we don't have electric the message was just turn up- first come first served!!. Hopefully we'll get on rest of our group planning to get there at 2!!. So fingers crossed
I've heard lots of great things about it but we opted to stay at Hollins Farm just down the road from it and absolutely loved it there. We went past Fisherground on the steam train a few times and it looks lovely but we still preferred Hollins because they take bookings and are quite strict about not over-filling the site.
We where going to go here but heard a bad review about the cleanliness of the toilet and shower facilities so endded up at Reighton Sands in Filey instead (a big mistake).
By the sounds of it this site is not as bad as we where led to believe then.

i did my duke of edinburghs practice in the lake district, and stayed here one night! found it was nice, with rire pits and a stream running through. the toilets are fine, but it's 50p for the showers. the eskdale railway is lovely, if you go, be sure to visit Boot. only problem is is that teh stream tends to get glass in, so footwear if paddling is a must. there is a lovely pay area and a pond with tire rafts in (not v. deep) so is very good for families. it's handy for touring, but is also suitable for long stays. hope this helps!
