Only started camping 3 weeks ago and was hoping for somewhere at Bank holiday, but this was before I found out just how popular camping is! Tried a few places but all are full, so now I've resigned myself to not going anywhere this Bank Holiday and will use the experience to book early next time.
Hi Hevster and welcome to UKCS. There maybe some piches available at Stroud Hill Cambs, but not sure of your party as the site is adult only and only non EHU tent pitches were available I believe.
If you keep tryingI'msure you will find one, try some of the smaller sites they will probably be your best bet, tho' I doubt if you will get one with an EHU.
Hope you get lucky
Andy
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Not quite sure how far you wish to travel but we booked a couple of weeks ago and going on Thursday this week to West Waylands in Looe/Polperro Cornwall. When booking they had plenty of availabiltiy. We haven't stayed here before but it looks lovely. Quiet site with no entertainment and only £3 per night.
You might find a lot of people cancelling their pitch at the last minute. We booked ours in late June just to make sure we got a pitch where we wanted to go, we haven't definitley decided if we're going yet and there's probably a lot of people doing the same as us watching the weather forecast and deciding as late as friday morning.Personally we'd rather lose the money we've paid than sit all weekend in a tent waiting for the weather to improve
