Heligan Woods also lovely and defo dog friendly. Water bowls scattered around the entrance and reception too.
Peaceful and picturesque with well tended trees and shrubs and if you go on any of the pitches along the length of the site infront of the shower blocks, (there are about three levels to choose from plus along the row next to the showers etc.), can't remember all pitch numbers at the mo but we were on 30 for the last two weeks and that's got a sea view, (in the distance admittedly).
One bonus of Heligan Woods is that you also have full free use of all facilities on their sister site of Pentewan Sands which doesn't allow dogs but handy for the well stocked mini market which is open all day while the handy liccle store on Heligan is only open for a couple of hours each morning and early evening, (was 8.30-10.30am while we were there and then again at 4.30-6.30pm but times may change throughout the season).
It's next door the wonderful Lost Gardens of Heligan where there's also the amazing Lobbs Farm shop...yummmmmy...their white Cornish chocoloate is to die for
Also just down the road from the lovely fishing village of Mevagissey, which is a place my whole family adore, shame about the scaffolding up around one building this year though, ruined the photo ops
You might wanna take a squiz at my review about Heligan Gardens on the  which I'm gonna attempt to do an update on if possible. If it's not, I'll just do another review, coz it deserves it.
Be prepared to bring your winter woolies though if visiting Cornwall that late in the season coz it gets pretty darned nippy. That said though, we have noticed that you don't seem to get as much wet stuff in September........unlike us in August almost every blooming year
