Hi
We went to the download festival in june and stayed at a campsite in castle donnington called Kings Mills, Donington Nurseries, as the crow flys its less than a mile from Donnington park but you have to go down a country lane into the village and turn right up the hill then right again in a kind of square so its 3 miles, if you wanted to walk.
The campsite is in a rural position, and the owners couldn't do enough for you, theres only one shower but they put 2 portacabin showers they hire for the weekend in as well, there are toilets for men and women and I never had to wait once for the loe over the weekend and there was always toilet paper in there even though the campsite was full. they arrange a minibus to come on a shuttle basis to pick people up to take them to the festival, it was about 2.80 each. there is a small social room with a pool table and they aranged a bar for the weekend and a BBQ.
I have written a review , if we go to Donnington next year we will definatly stay here again.
